The successful candidate will support the main teacher in the delivery of our Sunday group classes, namely Tot Dance, Youth Dance and Rising Stars.

The candidate will be a confident and versatile performing artist themselves, comfortable with learning and repeating dance steps, singing to backing tracks, leading vocal and acting warmups, and performing on stage in front of an audience.

They will assist the main teacher in all matters of classroom management, including but not limited to, taking attendance, reinforcing educational content and generally supporting the main teacher in whatever capacity they need. 

The candidate will be required to also support the students during performances in our Winter and End of Year concerts. This may require performing on the stage alongside the groups, and as such, the candidate should be comfortable with this.

This role is ideally suited to a high school or post-secondary student interested in pursuing the performing arts, whether as a performer or educator. Prior experience performing in musical theatre, dance recitals or concerts is an advantage, as is experience working with children aged 3-12.
